Privacy policy

Effective 24 September 2026. This policy covers the Cellwright phone app and the Cellwright Wear OS app (com.quickserveapp.cellwright) and this website.

The short version

No accounts. No ads. No tracking. Your battery data stays with you. Cellwright has no server. Neither app has permission to use the internet, so neither can send your data anywhere.

What the apps record

Battery readings from your own device: charge level, charging current, voltage, temperature, charge and discharge sessions, and your settings. On the phone, if you turn on the optional Per-app battery use and grant Usage access, Cellwright also records which app was on screen while the battery drained. All of this is stored on the device that recorded it.

What we collect

Nothing. We don't collect, receive, sell or share any personal or device data. There are no analytics, crash reporting or advertising libraries in either app.

Phone and watch sync

The phone and watch apps exchange battery summaries and backups using Google's Wearable Data Layer, part of Google Play services on your devices. When the phone and watch are out of Bluetooth range, Google may relay this data through your own Google account. Cellwright doesn't operate that service and can't read what passes through it. Google's handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Backups and exports

When you choose Back up or export data, Cellwright creates a file and opens Android's share sheet. The file goes only where you choose to send or save it.

Permissions

• Foreground service: keeps measuring while you charge, so health can be computed.
• Notifications: the ongoing monitor notice, the 90% charge alert and the heat alert.
• Usage access (optional, phone): only for Per-app battery use.
• Run at start-up: restarts the monitor after a reboot.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling Cellwright removes everything it stored on that device. You can also delete individual charge and discharge records in the phone app.

Children

Cellwright isn't directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts, and its fonts are served from this site. The hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
